Enrollment & Registration

Welcome to Rio Norte! This guide will help you prepare the necessary documents for registration. For school withdrawals or to request transcripts, please contact our registrar.

Please note: During the school year, enrollments are by appointment only. We typically do not schedule appointments for the first few days of school.

Required Documents for All New Students

Please prepare the following documents for your enrollment appointment. Originals are required for proof of residency and will be returned to you.

1. Proof of Residency 🏡

You must provide three of the following documents showing your name and address:

• Utility bills (gas, water, electric)

• Lease or rental agreement

• Escrow papers or property tax bill

• Homeowner's or renter's insurance

• Current vehicle registration

2. Proof of Age 🎂

Provide one of the following:

• State-certified birth certificate (abstract certificates are not accepted)

• Legal court record

3. Complete Immunization Record 💉

Provide a complete, legible copy of your child's immunization record. Students cannot be scheduled for classes without proof of all required immunizations.

The record must show the following:

• Tdap Booster: One dose on or after the 10th birthday.

• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Two doses.

• Hepatitis B: A complete series of 2 or 3 doses.

• TB Skin Test (PPD-Mantoux): Must include the date given, date read, and the result (positive/negative).

Grade-Specific Requirements

In addition to the documents listed above, please bring the following based on your student's grade level.

For Incoming 7th Grade Students

• No additional academic records are needed. Please ensure you have all documents from the "Required for All New Students" list.

For Incoming 8th Grade Students

• 7th Grade Transcript: An official transcript with all course grades from 7th grade.

• State Test Scores: A copy of the most recent STAR or other state test results.

Required Documents for 8th Grade Enrollment

To enroll your 8th-grade student, please provide the following documents.

Academic Records 📚

• Official Transcript: Must include all course grades from 7th grade and any completed 8th-grade courses.

• Standardized Test Scores: A copy of your student's most recent STAR or other state test results.

Personal Documents 📄

• Proof of Age: A copy of a state-certified birth certificate or a legal court record. Abstract birth certificates are not accepted.

• Proof of Residency: Provide three of the following original documents showing your name and address. We will make copies and return the originals to you.

A complete and legible copy of your child’s immunization record is required. Students cannot be scheduled for classes without proof of all required immunizations. The record must show the following:
