A Welcome from Principal Brenda Bennett

Welcome to the 2025-26 school year at Rio Norte! I’m Brenda Bennett, and it’s my privilege to be the principal of this amazing junior high.

 

As a graduate of the Hart District and a parent of former Rio Norte students, I am deeply honored to give back to the community that shaped me. My family and I believe in the power of our public schools to prepare students for the challenges ahead, and I am committed to your child's success.

Our Goals for This Year

At Rio Norte, we focus on all aspects of student development and growth. This year, we continue to advance the Hart District’s 5-Year Strategic Plan, which aims to ensure every student is Opportunity Ready.

 

Our key areas of focus are:

  • Student Learning & Instruction: We are improving our assessments to ensure students master essential skills in every subject.
