Summer Check-In Information

Summer check-in is intended for parents and students. School pictures will be taken at summer check-in for all students in attendance. Please see all picture day information below.

 

Information for Incoming 7th Grade Families

 

7th Grade Summer Check-in takes place on Wednesday, August 7th. Please note that details for summer check-in were sent by mail to all 7th grade students expected in our incoming class. If you have not received this information by mail, please contact our registrar's office at (661) 295-3700, ext. 1125, as you we may be missing important details for your student. We will be happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

 

Picture Day

 

School pictures will be taken on check-in day. Please review our school dress code as you plan for the day. All your picture day information can be found here.

 

Online Registration

 

The William S. Hart Union High School District will be using a new Online Registration process to collect District-wide forms and update student records for the upcoming school year. Before your student can complete the summer check-in process in August, the online registration process must be completed. To complete this process, every family must have an active Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account to begin online registration starting May 17th.

 

If you are a current 7th grade family, you are like already using your parent account regularly to check your student's grades and attendance records. If you already have an Infinite Campus parent account, no further action is needed until May 17th. If you have not yet created a parent portal account, please follow the instructions below.

 

If your student will be new to Rio in the fall, you must create a new Infinite Campus for the Hart District as soon as possible. Any Infinite Campus accounts from your elementary school district will no longer be active. To create an account, please use the following process.

  1. Visit https://www.hartdistrict.org/apps/pages/infinite-campus.

  2. Complete and submit a form to create a parent account. You may access the form directly by clicking here. Please note that requests are processed individually and may take up to 1-2 business days.

  3. Once your account is created, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign in and change your password. Please record your log-in and password information.

  4. (OPTIONAL) You may download the Campus Parent Mobile App to view your student's academic progress on the go. The app also allows you to set up push notifications on grades and attendance. For more information regarding the mobile app, please click here.

Once you have set up your Infinite Campus parent account, you will be ready to complete Online Registration.

 

Online Registration FAQs

 

The most common challenes we have heard have been "I can't start Online Registration" and "I can't select a school year." Hopefully these steps will help to resolve these issues:

  1. Make sure you are clicking on the Existing Student Registration button. Even if the student is an incoming 7th grader that is new to Rio, the student record has been transitioned to our Student Information System.
  2. Are you a staff member? Please be sure that you are signing into the Parent Portal using your Parent Portal login credentials. Infinite Campus will allow you to sign in successfully using your staff login, but that account is not tied to a household or students.
